Memorial Day Seminar

I had a great time with Sifu Guerman of Illinois Wing Tsun over Memorial Day. I requested we get exposed to some of the internal aspects of Wing Tsun which I really enjoyed. Also, I asked Sifu Guerman to improve our use of legs in our Wing Tsun and was learned a heap of fun things to do (I really love that knee lock with the knee).

There is a consistent message I am hearing from advanced folks, starting from a couple years ago with Sijo Leung Ting – forget the chi sao sections! The only reason the movements occur in sequence is if the partner has the exact response needed – otherwise a different response is used and the section ends. We applied this principle and practiced parts of the chi sao sections – I love this stuff. This is applied Wing Tsun.
